Scabbers at Hagrid's

Scabbers at Hagrid's...a warm place to stay with easy food (lots of
crumbs)?  Why couldn't he hide in Hogwarts kitchens (much closer, less
risk because now he wouldn't have to cross the lawn to Hagrid's,
avoiding predator owls)?

Well, not much of a dicussion piece, since obviously Pettigrew isn't
too logical in the first place.  Not to mention, he's a rat!  Probably
just ran to the first place that popped into his mind (does this imply
that Pettigrew knows secret ratly passages through & out of Hogwarts
no one else knows about?).

-Megan, wondering if anyone else was annoyed as she when all of
sudden, in GOF, they start using "Wormtail" instead of Pettigrew.
