I've got a query. I was reading GoF last night, and something in The
Pensieve chapter struck me.

During Bagman's trial, he was accused of passing information to the DE's
about the Ministry, right? But wasn't Bagman still a professional Quidditch
player at the time? (ie, his 'I can't keep getting hit by Bludgers for the
rest of my life' comment & of course how they all applauded him for the last
weekends match!)
What would he know about the Ministry that he could pass on? And *why* would
he know it? It just doesn't seem to fit!
I have racked my brains trying to figure out how it could all work, but I
can't come up with a theory I like and which seems plausible.

Or am I not seeing the blindingly obvious? Wouldn't be the first time...
