I'm very curious about this Sorting Hat business. It'd be interesting 
to know whether other students are given the "choice" (albeit a 
teasing one) that Harry is. After all, if we're defined by our 
choices rather than by something inherent, having a hat to sort them 
into the different houses goes against that somewhat, don't you think?

OK, it's a magical hat and can see into the students' minds, so maybe 
this is way off on the wrong track -- but I'd love to know whether 
the Sorting Hat has chatted with any of the other students!!!
