First of all let me say that I am a new poster to this board, and 
have thoroughly enjoyed mucking through all the intelligent and 
thought-provoking posts.  I am a huge fan of literature in general 
and (of course) Harry Potter specifically.  This message board has 
led me to read the books over in a wholly serious light and has 
allowed me to see them for the literary accomplishments that they 
are!  

Anyway, enough schmoozing!  I am mulling over this question of Fawkes 
feathers being harvested to create brother wands for an AD controlled 
order of wizards.  IMO, (as in I have no real proof) everything 
between Harry and Voldemort exists to a heightened degree and is  
exaggerated due to both of their powers as well as a shared history.  
There are obviously bonds there that have not fully been explored by 
JKR, so I think to gage Voldemorts reactions/abilities/powers by any 
of his encounters with HP could be dangerous for anyone else involved.
