Longbottoms

I was under the impression that the longbottoms were no longer 
suffering the direct effects of the curse (imperio or crucio.. 
whichever it was... don't have the book with me) but are suffering 
the after-effects of resisting it.  They are in the hospital in a 
kind of psych ward.  They resisted the curse and it drove them 
insane.  The death of the caster of the original curse would have no 
effect on the current mental health of Neville's parents. 

Also, I don't think they will be healed because their condition is a 
result of their bravery and force of will.  They are compeltely mad, 
but they didn't give in... I find this very powerful, very moving.  I 
think that healing them would be a bit cheesey and make things all a 
little too rosey, too "happily ever after".
