Harry's Parents

Hi, all.

Forgive me if this has been recently discussed, but I'm 
becoming a bit confused about Harry's parents. I've recently 
been listening to Jim Dale's audiobook of CoS (after reading the 
book several months ago), and noticed that in the final 
showdown between Riddle (Voldemort) and Harry, it is 
mentioned that Harry's mother was a "muggle." However, in the 
beginning of PoA, a reference is made to Harry's "wizard 
parents" and I seem to recall Petunia mentioning at some point 
that her sister (Harry's mother) had magical abnormatilites. 
Unfortunately, I' have no quotes or page referenes at hand.

So, is Harry's mother a witch or "muggle"? I suppose it's not all 
*that* important in the grand scheme of things, but I have been 
wondering...
