I seem to recall someone on this list mentioning the 
term "sinistrocular", which means favoring the left eye, as in using 
the left eye only when looking through a telescope--hence astronomy.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me; however, I would not be the one to 
ask to verify the accuracy of that interpretation.
