Whatever prior "indications" some see as to Ron's attraction to Hermione
should be discounted by Ron's belated realization in GoF that Hermione is "a
girl" and therefore could go to the Yule Ball with one of them. Hermione's
response "oh yes, and well spotted" is one of the best lines in the series.
At least up until that point, I doubt that Ron had considered romance as an
option. Following that, much of Ron's reaction to Krum is as compatible
with a fraternizing with the enemy view as with that of a disappointed
suitor, although it does trend to the latter as GoF goes on. Hermione's
views are at least as important on this subject as Ron's -- and in the end
she kisses Harry not Ron.
Harry's interests, however, run elsewhere. With the convenient elimination
of competition from Diggory, in an event as to which HP is the only witness,
it will be interesting to see if a whispering campaign regarding what
happened to Diggory starts in book 5, when HP makes some sort of attempt to
get together with Cho Chang.
To the extent that sons are attracted to women who resemble their mothers, I
could see Ron looking upon Hermione to fulfill the same function for him
that Molly Weasley does for Arthur. He's pretty whifty/oblivious and she
runs everything from a practical standpoint. Ron seems to have some of
Arthur's personality traits in that regard. We don't know nearly as much
about Lilly Potter, but she was muggle born and Head Girl. Hermione is the
former, and headed for the latter.
But what about Neville?
