There is a helpful archive search facility at the Messages page of all the
groups. For instance:

http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/hpforgrownups/messages

takes you to a list of all the messages, with a helpful little box which
says "search". It works remarkably well.

If that's not enough for you and you need information from earlier in the
group's history, head over to

http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/hpforgrownups-archives

and check the messages there.
