GOF- Ron and Hermione trouble

In a chat someone asked "was something was going on between Ron and 
Hermione during the last half of GOF?" JKR said "Yes, something's
'going on'... but Ron doesn't realise it yet...typical boy"

I have my own speculations on what it may be (possibly a running girl 
verse boy fued) but I would like other's opinions, I have a fealing 
this will be crucial to OOTF's plot.
