Something just occured to me about the location of Hogwarts. I believe it is 
an accepted fact that it is in Scotland. I cannot recall if JKR confirmed it 
but I do remember something from Fantastic Beasts wher a scribble said that 
Acromantula colonies in Scotland have been confirmed by Harry and co.

However, Hogsmead is near Hogwarts, correct? After all, Harry is able to go 
through a tunnel connecting it and Hogwarts, there are seven tunels leading 
to it, and the students go there on selected weekends. So it and Hogwarts 
must be in the same country. In PoA on the Hogwarts Express didn't Hermione 
comment about Hogsmead being the only all-wizard community in Britain? I 
don't have my books so I can't check but I'm fairly certain she said Britain. 


Forgive if this has been discussed, I don't remember seeing it in the 
archives.
