Hi --

I believe 2 different people posed questions relating to the Hogwarts 
population.

We have these handy dandy essays that go into enormous detail about what 
all has been discussed in the first 25000 messages or so of this group's 
history.  Some of them are not yet completed; however, the Hogwarts FAQ 
is available for viewing, luckily for those of you interested in what 
we've theorized regarding the Hogwarts student population (despite JKR's 
chat pronouncement that there are 1000 students at Hogwarts, the debate 
continues to rage on).
