Hermione and the boggart

Lupin does comment that since both Harry and Hermione had answered a 
question correctly, they did not need to face the boggart.  Perhaps 
it was his way of keeping Harry from facing the boggart.. keeping 
Hermione from facing it kept his excuse intact.
