Bone, Flesh & Blood -- Wormy - a Sirius mistake -- flaw to my theory -- Narrator doesn't tell all -- Plot devises

Hello HPforGrownups,

Upon finishing PoA and starting GoF (and sitting in a dark room with a
lot of people watching a motion picture), I've been led to reconsider
a few things.

First, I believe that Dumbledore's look of triumph has to do with
Voldy being reborn with the hand of a servant indebted to HP and the
blood of HP...somehow this will end up being Voldie's Achilles heel.
It does further tie these two wizards.

Now to the Shrieking Shack. If Sirius had stunned or immobilized Lupin
and Pettigrew all would be happy, but that would have killed the
story. We can throw all the blame on Sirius here because as we learned
in PS/SS, Hermione looses her head when really under pressure
("there's no wood") and Harry doesn't seem to learn any real magic
until book 4. Honestly, save the Expeliarmus, Patronus and Ridikulous
what have we seen him do (that he meant to blowing up Aunt Marge and
other involuntary things don't count)? I'm glad our hero has started
to learn some useful magic and doesn't have to rely on Hermione so
much.

A few days ago I mentioned my belief that Snape was the coward and that
Karkaroff was the one who left for good. As I sat in the cinema it
finally hit me that Snape confronted Quirrell WHILE Voldie was in the
turban. Moreover, Mad-eye Crouch was interrogating real Moody and
undoubtedly uncovered Snape as the double agent. If this is so and
Snape is the one who the DEs are going to kill (maybe that is the death
JKR has been referring to) Snape, where did he go when Dumbledore sent
him off that night during the parting of ways?

One thing that bugs me at the beginning of GoF is that when the
narrator tells us of Sirius Blacks innocence, he (sorry it's Jim Dale
to me not JKR...I listened before I read the stories) mentions HRH and
Dumbledore as knowing the truth. There is no mention of Professor
Lupin, their former DADA teacher. It doesn't seem like that omission
was necessary...she retells us so much, why not include Lupin (even
if he isn't relevant to this book) he is mentioned at the end with the
old crowd discussion. Am I nitpicking?

I just wanted to add to the plot devises that were mentioned in the
last two days. There is always a journey to the wizarding world before
the trip to Kings Cross. In the first three it is Diagon Alley in the
forth it is the QWC. Hermione always shells out useful information
form Hogwarts a History. Also, the epilogue always involves their train
ride back and some promise that the summer will be much better than
the last. Uncle Vernon always has something negative to say as he
picks Harry up.

Jason, who wants to know what JKR's obsession with swine is all
about...(Hogwarts, Hogsmead, Pigwidgeon, Dudley, I'm sure there are
more that have slipped my mind)
