I don't think they can force anyone to go who doesn't want to,
especially if they're Muggle-born.

Maybe there's a way to "magically castrate" (i.e. artificially make
them a squib) wizards who won't have anything to do with magic.

Related question: Are the offspring of squibs also squibs?

Another related question: Stumbling upon the web page of an
ex-Wiccan-turned-Born-Again (who of course is out to reform everyone
else, along with trashing The Boy Who Lived) made me wonder: Are there
wizards who really *do* "break their wands in half and go and join" the
Dursleyan Muggles?
