Read an interview (can't remember where now -- sorry -- before the
film opened, I read a LOT of articles about it) that stated Dan
Radcliffe tried wearing green contact lenses for the role, but they
were too uncomfortable and they decided to digitally color in his
eyes. From the one time I've seen the film, they didn't do that great
a job. Don't know if the film-makers' attempt at green eyes for Harry
is at the insistence of JK (i.e., it's actually going to be important
later in the series) or if they were just trying to be as faithful to
the book as possible. Personally, I think it's the latter.
