Hi everyone --

We Moderators have agreed to not strictly adhere to our everyday group 
rules for the time being.  This is a time when many of us, although 
perhaps the Americans in particular, are coping with shock and deep 
tragedy.  It would be good if all members would remember that some of us 
are expressing very raw emotions -- some posters may be just venting or 
expressing emotion more than attempting to establish any real dialogue 
with others.

We *are* a diverse group. While we should all be mindful of the 
diversity, I don't believe it is necessary to completely stifle 
expression at a time like this.  Please just continue to use common 
sense in creating your messages.

I've been quiet, as have many of our regular posters.  I expect we'll 
get back to HP in full force when it seems appropriate.  In the 
meantime, my thoughts and prayers remain with those who have suffered 
losses and with those in the worldwide community, which is forever 
changed by these events IMO.
