Joy, the same kind of God that allows you to say things like that
without striking you down for daring to put one toe out of line. The
same kind of God that allows you to chose to go to church on the
sabbath, or stay home.

You are free to chose what you do with your life. You are free to
help thousands of people. You are free to murder thousands of
people. It is your choice. God has given you that choice. You are
not free to chose the consequences of your choices however.

Rest assured, the people who are responsibile for what happened
Tuesday will have to answer for it before his eternal bar of
judgement. The guilty still alive may yet escape man's justice, but
they cannot escape his.

Joy, what would you have God do? Force everybody to do good? Force
everything so there are no problems? No trials to overcome? No
problems to solve? That would essentially return man to the level of
the beasts, would it not? We would be reduced to creatures in a zoo
with God being the zoo-keeper providing us our every need.

No, the acts of terror Tuesday were not the results of an unfeeling
God. If you want to see the hand of God, look at the heroism of the
rescue workers, the unselfish outpouring of help and supplies, the
coming together of bitter partisan enemies in Washington, the message
of an obviously shocked Yasar Arrafat at the news, the pledges of
support from around the world. There is the hand of God.

I pray that good will continue to come from this.

Marcus
