Yep. GoF chapter 12, when Harry asks about whether siblings are
always sorted into the same house.
The presence of two sets of identical twins is a major red flag,
I agree--the plot possibilities of a mixup are tremendous. Especially
given that the very first time we see Fred and George the point is
driven home that even their parents mix them up sometimes.
