In America we call that recess, or used to. I hear
some schools no longer have it which I think is
horrible.
Boarding school is a fairly exotic concept for most
Americans, we have them of course but the majority of
us go to public or private day schools, surely they
don't keep the students in class from dawn to dusk,
and what about saturdays and sundays?
