I think he's just a wizard, because if he was a vampire, Hermione 
would have known it especially since Lupin did assign them homework 
about vampires.

Fudge is too scared of You Know Who to be a Death Eater. Wait. Do you 
mean Fudge or Crouch?

Dumbledore ask him to take the train to protect Harry?

Simply sleeping. Hogswarts Express seems to be the most popular 
method of transport. Lupin would be too tired to travel all the way 
there on broom. He could have gone over there by Floo Powder... 

Also, curious fact, on September 1, 1993 (real date), there was a 
full moon. ^^ Maybe moons move differently in the Wizarding world.

I don't think so. He doesn't seem to know much about kappas. I 
believe he just wants to get rid of the DADA teachers. He knew 
Quirrel was up to something. (I wonder how he reacted when he found 
out that Voldemort was in Quirrel or did he ever found out) Lockhart 
was an imbecile. Lupin is a werewolf. Moody was putting the pressure 
on him, and it turns out he was Voldemort's spy. By the end of the 
fourth book, even Snape and Dumbledore probably thought that the DADA 
teaching position is cursed.

She has some predictive powers, but she's not considered a True Seer.

He lost his wand in the explosion, I think. Maybe he made it self-
destruct. I don't think he could have gone over to Ollivander's for a 
new wand of his own.

Convinced you cannot apparate on Hogwarts grounds. The school has to 
have some security.

I like the theory that you only see on the map what you want to see. 
It also solves the problem of how the map could show several floors 
at the same time. Besides, it would be very confusing if the map has 
hundreds of dots moving all at once at the same time.

I'm waiting for this to be confirmed, but I would go for the order 
that's in Lexicon. I've also wondered why James' shadow came out 
first before Lily's.
