Hi everyone --

Your Magical Moderator Team would like to take a moment to
remind everyone of the vast diversity of membership that we have on
HPforGrownups. We are a large (over 2000 members & counting),
international, multi-ethnic group. Our members possess the complete
range of views on religion, politics, sexuality and other important
lifestyle & cultural issues. When you are posting a message to this
list (or any of our affiliated lists such as OT-Chatter) or
participating in our chats, please be respectful of this diversity of
opinion.

We keep talking about what a diverse list we are, and we decided it
might be fun to *see* visually how diverse we are. So, we've set up a
few polls to track where our members live & what our views are on some
controversial subjects (of course, the poll will be blind so that
noone can see how each individual responded). We wish it could be an
all-inclusive diversity poll, but Yahoogroups polls are limited to one
question per poll. There is also an ongoing poll on the ages of our
members, so if you haven't voted in that one (or if you moved into a
different age range ...ahem...since you last voted), please vote in
that one too! Here's where to vote:

Keep in mind that (a) no one is forcing you to vote in any of these
polls, (b) you can participate in some but not all if you prefer, and
(c) no one will know how you answered any of these questions (voting
results will not be displayed).

I'm sorry for the confusion caused by my setting up the polls and then
not having time to get this explanatory message out to you. My
daughter woke up earlier than expected for her next feeding. But
again, there is really no need for a hostile reaction. This is just
supposed to be fun (and interesting to see the results), and you can
participate or not as you choose.

This message is being sent as a "Special Announcement." All members
of HPforGrownups, even those who signed up for Webview access to the
group, will receive it via email. If you're a webview member but
haven't visited our group homepage recently, here's the link:

Magically yours --
