A couple of thoughts about Peter Pettigrew...

You know, it occured to me just now that Voldemort gave Pettigrew a _silver_
hand to replace the one he cut off. Is it real silver? We know that it can
do things an ordinary hand cannot do. (Pettigrew crushed a twig between his
fingers---that hand is STRONG.)

Now, there's a much-loved character who probably has a real nasty allergy to
silver---Remus Lupin. Could Herself be setting us up for a big
Lupin-vs.-Pettigrew confrontation, with Lupin turning wolf in desperation
while Pettigrew tries to choke the life out of him with his silver hand?

Also, I've been rereading Lord of the Rings, and I keep thinking about
Wormtail when I see how Saruman treats "Wormtongue," the traitorious
ex-Rohir that eventually kills him. Is it possible that Herself is planning
to have Pettigrew redeem himself at the end by killing Voldemort, possibly
at the cost of his own life? Or is that a bit too "Star Wars" for her?

Well, hope you enjoyed my questions. If either have been discussed to death
already, let me know and I'll go slam my ears in the oven for a while.
