The OT group shouldn't exist. If it's a discussion of HP, then it's on-topic
for this group and should be here. If it's not, then I'm not interested in
reading it. Thus, I am not subscribed to the OT-Chatter group and have no
interest in the extra mail I'd have if I did (this group is busy enough).

I can understand the desire for contests to be dealt with elsewhere, as they
do clog up mailing lists. In general, responses to contents should be sent
to the person running the contest. The "derby" is an exception however. I
found people's predictions for OoP to be interesting, and certainly on topic
for this group. It should not have been moved to OT-Chatter, since it's not
off-topic.

As far as the polls go, I have no intention of submitting personal
information. I do not trust Yahoo not to keep a record of that information,
and I have no interest in knowing just how diverse everyone is, unless it
has some relation to HP. However, I see nothing wrong with having the poll -
those who don't want to vote, won't (of course, this means that the poll may
not be very accurate...).
