OK.  I'm game.  I'll give it a shot and try the other two HP4GUs lists; 
however, I agree with a bunch of the other folks who posted and I have to 
say that I love the thought-provoking questions that people post HERE.

I've only read the whole series once and am currently working my way back 
through it (but I have to do my homework and read at least the first book 
in the LotR series to make the spousal unit happy.).  The questions and the 
wonderful replies have really increased my reading pleasure.  I'm not a 
picky reader, I get swept up in the stories.  All of the careful 
observations that folks share here make the books even more enjoyable.

I must also note that, while Yahoo says there are over 2000 subscribers to 
this list, only a small percentage post.  I subscribe to several lists with 
a far larger base and routinely spend delete whole topics without reading 
them.  It's not that hard.

So, list elves and mods, thanks for all of your wonderful efforts!  This 
list is a lot of fun and the support shown last week was great.  This was 
one of the few lists that didn't succumb to some really nasty name-calling 
and saber-rattling.  But, I still think the derby should continue on 
here.  I don't think it's a bad thing and I want to thank Laura and the 
rest of the people who take the time and effort to compile these kinds of 
questions.  They're loads of fun for me at least.
