Ooops - Polls - Derby

1) I know it can be almost as irritating to have an 'oops' post as it 
was to have the accidental post in the first place, so I'm saying 
Oops here for my delayed reaction to the 'Derby' thread - I wrote it 
offline, so when I came to post it I hadn't noticed the ADMIN 
messages.  So I'm saying Oops now, and in future, please just refer 
back to this message if I make another mistake!

2)Although I subscribe to OT-Chatter, I no longer read it - there's 
too much traffic in these two groups to keep up with both of them, 
and the majority of the messages in OT don't interest me.  It would 
be a shame to loose the Derby - I know it may take up space, but it's 
generating a lot of interesting responses - like a 'brainstorming 
session' -I for one, have been enjoying it so far..

3)Regardless of whether the polls are anonymous or not, it was very 
strange to see them all before an explanation was forthcoming - I, 
like several others, thought that it was a hoax of some sort.  I know 
mods can't be perfect all the time, but next time it would be nice to 
get the expln. first, and the questions later - if only so that you 
can establish the appropriate 'categories' for the polls - we've 
already seen that many people feel thay are not applicable to them.
