Muggle Jobs Congruent to WizWorld Jobs; education

My job does translate, directly.  I am Filch, compleat with cat, 
minus the bad temper:  custodienne at Petaluma High School, Petaluma, 
California.
That having been said, I have wondered how Wizarding children learn 
to read, to write, to do the background math that would be the pre-
requisite for Arithmancy and Astronomy, and probably useful in 
Potions.  Muggle History would come through with the History of 
witchcraft, as the two do interact to a certain extent.  In the 
sciences, botany and biology are taught, by Prof. Sprout and Hagrid; 
physics is totally irrelevant, but geography is as important to 
Wizards as to Muggles (!).  Any thoughts, anyone?
