My first thought, also, was Mrs. Figg, but then I recalled that in
interviews, JKR said that in Book 5 we will learn more about the
ghosts:  who, what, how, & why.  Perhaps SK gave a backstory to one --
or more -- of the ghosts that didn't fit with JKR's plans?
