I hadn't really thought of it before but I think you might be on to
something.

* Dedalus Diggle bowed to Harry in a shop once.  Maybe he was watching
over Harry?  

* Also, he just happened to be present when Hagrid took Harry to the
Leaky Cauldron the first time.  Maybe not a coincidence.

I'll be keeping my eye on Diggle.
