To which, I reply:

I'm afraid I have to completely disagree with this theory. Since
McGonagall herself *very* rarely enters the Gryffindor common room  --
Harry comments on this -- I just can't believe other professors would
EVER have reason.

I stand firm:  the Slytherin password proves (to me, at least) that
Snape is a pure-bloodist at heart.
