[HPforGrownups] some thoughts about the Ghosts

I remember reading an interview with JKR saying something like, "Only the
unhappiest people become ghosts when they die," which would explain Moaning
Myrtle. But what about the house ghosts? Were they unhappy when they were
alive? Obviously not everyone becomes a ghost (Lily, James, Cedric, et.
al.) My guess is also that "Mudbloods" or "magical muggles" aren't the only
ones who become ghosts. My reason for thinking this is that Slytherin and
Riddle both had the goal of getting rid of all of the muggle-borns. If they
would all become ghosts, that really wouldn't work. In any case, I think
this is going to become important later on.
