Newbie Intro

Hello everybody!

Instead of just jumping along with my first post, I´d like to 
introduce myself to you.

My name is Barbara. I am from Germany, 26, and study biology and 
chemistry in order to be a teacher. 
>From my gracious List-Elf I know that there are at least two Barbaras 
who joined before me. So, in order to avoid confusion (I for one 
always look at the sign, not the header for the author) I will sign 
posts with the alias Ethanol. I don´t enjoy drinking the stuff but I 
spent the last years using it as a soluable... yes, I am chemistry 
crazy.... ;-)

Which is probably the reason why I like Snape so much - despite him 
being rather... unfriendly. Lets face it: mixing stuff together and 
heating it - its either cooking or chemistry. For cooking Snapes 
recepies are much to dangerous (and the way chemistry student mumble 
over their reactions trying to make them go well - that is pure 
alchemy :P )

Apart from Snape, I love Harry, Ron and Hermione - in no particular 
order. How could I ever choose between them? :-(

I started reading HP last year, shortly before GoF was published in 
German. So I had the immense pleasure of reading the four books 
shortly after another - which has left me only starving worse for 
more. I started with the translations - but I have the English 
editions waiting to be read as soon as the exams get passed.
Am I obssesed? Probably yes.

My favourite canon book is definetly GoF, followed by PoA, CoS and PS.

Well, last but not least I am *very* happy to be aboard a list with 
*soooooo* many other adult HP fans! (Did you ever got the: "What is 
she doing with a children´s book" frown?)
