Back from Tasmania trip II

Just got back from my second trip to Hobart, this time for business (presenting a workshop on the structure and pronunciation of Asian names to staff in the University of Tasmania's Engineering faculty...)

Only three days away and already I have 20 emails (mostly from HP4GU and HP4GU-OT) in my inbox! Uurrrrgh.  Being me, I went straight from the airport taxi to the computer and have spent over an hour reading the lot.  I've snipped veritable torrents of stuff to comment on, but fatigue is overwhelming me, so I will have to, among other things, define and defend the honour of FLIRTIAC, muse on historical English linguistics and speculate further on homeschooling issues (OT list) tomorrow...
