I've been meaning to bring this up for awhile. I mean, when you think about it, there's alot more evidence towards Harry being a seer than Ron. He dreams true, etc. My idea with the divination homework scene was that JKR was disguising her foreshadowing by trying to trick us into thinking that it was just humorous fluff.

This is where the Ron-is-a-seer theory falls apart -- nowhere (in GoF anyway) does Ron come off worse in a fight -- I mean, in Harry and Ron's fight, Harry definitely seems to be coming off worse. *can't think of any other Ron-related fights in GoF* And there *are* a couple of ways to look at Harry "coming off worse in a fight" that make it plausible.
First, on the whole scope of the battle against Voldy for which (for us at least) Harry is the main figurehead, Voldy definitely came out on top in GoF. I mean, he's all -- bodified. Yes, Harry got away, but that's *all* he got away with. Voldy is one up on him now.
Another way to think of it is this: think of the third task as the "fight" -- at the end of which Harry is portkeyed to the graveyard and forced to participate in V's rebirthing party. Definitely coming off worse there. Be better if he had just forfeited from the beginning...
