Here's another way that I believe most of you have overlooked:  Harry and 
Cedric both fight the giant spider at the end of the third task and Harry 
comes out with his leg seriously injured and Cedric wasn't hurt...though the 
spider did die...but maybe that's what the "come out worst in a fight" meant? 
 That is...if the prediction was supposed to be for Harry instead of Ron.

As for the back-stabbing one...what about Cedric Diggory?  Cedric *did* get 
Cho instead of Harry getting her as a date for the Yule Ball.  Maybe?
