I think Ron needs this as well. His jealously really alarms me. On one hand, it's totally normal and understandable (to a point), but on the other... Jo could be setting the stage for something big. So, as I really don't relish the idea of Evil!Ron or even UnwittinglyEvil!Ron, I hope he is given a chance to be brilliant in his own right, and SOON.

^_^ I love this about Ron -- his loyalty. Which is why I was SO upset with him for his behavior in GoF. It just seemed, in some ways, a little out of character. Then, in some ways, it seemed totally in-character. So what does this mean? Is Ron slowly changing for the fiery little boy we all know and love to a green-eyed monster -- right under our noses? *shudders* ... *really doesn't want an Evil!Ron*

My thoughts exactly, as so much better put.

Rohit:

Oh, I know *exactly* what I want. ^_~
Actually, I agree that there is, indeed, ambiguity -- however, I see very little interest on Herm's part for Harry. And vice versa. However, who knows what may happen?

<snip a bunch of junk I pretty much agree with>Rohit:

This is pretty much what I was expecting up until I joined the discussion (and mad rampant ship speculations) here. I mean, some casual dating, sure. But this is (sort of) a children's book, and it is (definitely) not a romance-oriented novel. The plot is driven by action, humor, etc. -- not crushes and romantic angst (which is all fine by me, but seriously, how much more romantic angst do we need in literature today?). And, of course, they could all end up dead. *wicked grin* Oh, yes. Mass carnage. Definitely my cup of tea. ^_^

laura (who was only joking about the mass carnage...sort of)
