I like it! *claps* Except, this was one of those theories we *aren't* supposed to take seriously, isn't it?
I don't think JKR will do it, but it's still yummy to think about, you know? I mean, you *do* have to watch out for *that* type...they always seem to be not-what-you-think-they-are. Very tricky, those ones *nods wisely*.
*And* all this Ginny and Neville debate has got me thinking. Someone awhile ago mentioned that they thought that the ships in this book would most likely turn out H/G and R/H, as these are the only pairs in which one person had shown any interest in the other (discounting Cho and Vicktor type situations which I don't believe are going anywhere), and I was pretty much agreeing. However, what about Ginny and Neville? I mean, they do go to the Yule Ball together (although Neville crushes Ginny's toes rather unromantically). And..well...wouldn't it be so right if they sort of got together and, through the other's help and support, began to outshine everyone else?
Hrm. I don't know. One of the complaints people have against H/G is that Ginny will never be on equal footing with Harry (which may or not be true), but with Neville this would not be the case. And maybe together they could, you know...help eachother up onto better "footing", so to speak. He could help her come out of her shell (as someone she isn't shy about), and she could help him with his schoolwork and bolster his academic morale.*thinks the concept is quite cute, but is unsure of whether it's a likely occurrence*
Also, big, humongous apology to Finwitch. My method of expressing disagreement with your baby-at-Hogwarts theory was quite rude. I really *am* working on being more sensitive to other people's feelings when debating, but this was one of those times when my inner mauler just jumped out. A thousand apologies. Really, I didn't mean to attack you in any way, in fact, I thought I was being a bit facetious. *hangs head* I'm really sorry.
