Ginny and Neville? I mean, they do go to the Yule Ball together
(although Neville crushes Ginny's toes rather unromantically).
And..well...wouldn't it be so right if they sort of got together and,

Yes, a fellow Ginny/Neville shipper. How few there are of us, but how
we will be envied when JKR actually makes it canon.
Seriously, I believe there's a great likelihood of that actually
happening. Once upon a time, I was an H/G shipper, then I read GoF,
and I knew that Neville and Ginny were right for each other, and had a
hunch JKR knew it too. (I have fights now with my brother who says
Harry has to marry Ginny, because Ginny looks like Lily, and wouldn't
it be so cute for history to repeat here.)
You see, why send them to the ball together at all? They're paired so
prominently, and such attention is drawn to the moral courage they
both show in the pairing. Ginny is Neville's second choice, and
Neville is hers also, but they both go through a lot to get there and
keep it that way. Neville does not let his first rejection get at him,
and Ginny refuses to break faith with Neville after getting the
longed-for invitation from Harry.

Of course, it's likely. It's going to happen. Ginny and Neville are
far better linked than Ginny and Harry, anyway. They've both suffered
badly, without getting back at those who have made them suffer.
Unconscious Ginny - baby Neville anyone? They both are overlooked.
Though it may be unfair, I do think Ginny's in too much of an
idolizing relationship to Harry, and she should come back to earth
with Neville. And Neville deserves to be happy. He deserves to be the
permanent DADA teacher, marry Ginny, and live happily ever after, with
a lot of red-haired kids. Just as long as it's not GEWGAW (Ginny's
Early Wedding Grows Awfully Weird).
