For arguments sake, Harry was only one when he faced Voldemort, not
taking any concious action, but he DEFINITELY has a bond to Vmort.

I'm seeing Ginny's 'bond' as mainly to Harry rather than Vmort. They
both have faced the Darklord and resisted him (Ginny tried to throw
the diary away remember!) I see her as a better match to Harry than
Cho, who although nice and kind (one of the few people that supported
Harry in GoF) Cho has never faced Dark Magic and I don't think she
wants a boyfriend who would be on the front lines of a magical war.

Remember that the Gryffindor quality is bravery and whoever stands by
Harry will need it. Ginyy is definitely full of it (or maybe just I
am)

PS It is possible that Ginny had a taint of Voldemort upon her after
the Chamber of Secrets, but I'm sure Dumbledore and McGonagall would
have checked her head to toe.
