Is David a Flying Hedgehog person?

I've always thought it strange that Crouch can be talking so easily
with Arthur, as if they've known each other for years, and then mess
up his son's last name. If it was "Percy" that he stumbled on, calling
him "Peter" like Draco did in CoS, I could understand. But "Weasley"
should be a well-known name to him.

Unless, of course, Crouch has been calling the Weasleys Weatherbys
ever since Hogwarts, and just can't kick the habit. I know people like
that, who get entrenched in their version of a name despite their
will. It's not that Crouch doesn't know Percy is a Weasley, it's just
that all Weasleys are Weatherbys, what?
