Me:
> Pity we don't, so far, have an Animagus couple on board, where we could check
out this theory. Our only female Animagus so far is a beetle, and that doesn't
seem promising for Shipping. The only male Animagus of anywhere near
compatible size is, er, Wormtail. Ew. Although, we could have a little
worm/beetle creepy crawly invertebrate bonding there. Unless of course you go
for the Dumbledore as bumblebee Animagus option.<

Though I should add here that there is, of course, plenty of potential for slash couples. IIRC, Remus/Sirius is a popular option, and, assuming Remus is in harmless wolf form and feeling frisky, a wolf and a dog is even a plausible combination. And what fortune-telling dragonfly in need of information could resist the shiny charms of Rita the beetle?

I'm still fascinated by the unanswered question of animagus reproduction. All you werewolf experts out there, can werewolves reproduce the normal way? What would happen if McGonagall in cat form fell pregnant to Crookshanks? Could Rita be laying her unspeakable eggs on Hogwarts windowsills?

It does appear that medium to large mammals of magical background can, in some way, communicate in a common language, judging by Sirius' ability to communicate with Crookshanks. Most curious. What say ye? Is there some domesticable carnivores' patois or sign language? Can Crookshanks speak in some way? Hmmm...

Tabouli.
