This makes a certain amount of sense, but consider their backrounds. Harry
has spent most of his life being opressed by his relatives until he is
suddenly pulled into what for him seems to be a fantasy world. I would think
it's a little unreal for him.

Ron, on the other hand, is absolutely a realist. He's been brought up in a
poor family and he understands the realities of the wizarding world.

Both faced with a magical object that shows -- although they don't realize
it -- their deepest desires, Harry, who has recently been told that magic is
real, will react to it very differently from Ron, who has been surrounded by
magical object all his life.

By the way, this is my first post here. I was sort of intimidated by the
prevalence of HP4GU-ers in the fandom, but I know that's silly.
