Dumbledore, Flamel, and Fawkes

Hi Maidne,
Count me as one who thinks that Flamel *is* still alive as there is no 
canon evidence to *prove* he is dead now - only that he *will* die 
[in the future].  There has also been minor speculation that Flamel 
may not even be a wizard!  Again, canon offers no *proof* that he's a 
wizard, and in fact, gives us a number of hints that he is not ( I 
don't have time right now to compose a persuasive post on this - maybe 
later :)

Not too farfetched at all, and certainly not stupid.  We know ( OK, we 
highly suspect) that Fawkes will be center-stage in the next book - 
Order of the Phoenix - so hopefully we will get some more insight into 
the relationship between Dumbledore, Fawkes - and maybe even Flamel.
