I'm reminded of Dumbledore's speech in ChoS about the importance of
choices. EVERY good War movie I ever watched has a speech about
bravery not being the absence of fearm, but making the right choice
in the presence of fear.

I think Pettigrew's choice was the promises of power from Voldemort
over the rewards of friendship from the Potter's, Sirius, and Lupin.
For whatever unrevealed reason he resented the Potter's enough to
betray them. I read rumors that future books will show why Valdemort
wanted the Potter's dead. I look forward to reading the real history
of Pettigrew's betrayal.

On a side note, I've been posting on the true nature of Pettigrew's
silver hand. I read a post that just as Pettigrew owes Harry a life
debt for saving his life, Voldemort owes Pettigrew a debt and How
does LV reward him? With the Silver hand!

I'm sure LV promised Pettigrew great power for his sacrifice in his
resurrection. What powers are in the hand exactly?

I'm thinking the 'silver' of the hand might be similar magic to
Dumbledore's Pensieve, giving Voldemort some sort of awareness
through Pettigrew. This would give LV a great spy to infiltrate
Dumbledore's camp and maybe Hogwart's and I'm guessing would give
Pettigrew much stronger magic. It might also enable Voldemort to
control Pettigrew if he ever is tempted to repay his debt to Harry
through some good act.

Ideas?
