would have interacted, both being a part of "the old crowd" mentioned

Not that I want to deny Snape the benefits of a loving relationship
(even if it is accompanied by the not-very-erotic wafting of strong
vegetative odors), but I see several potential problems here.
Mrs. Figg is described as being an old woman. If that's truly the
case, she and Snape would not have been students at Hogwarts at the
same time. So, whatever her skill at Potions, she would have been
long gone by the time Snape arrived at Hogwarts. Unless, she was,
perhaps, the Potions Master...hmmm. Or unless her current old age is
a disguise and she's really much younger.
Also, I'm not convinced that Snape was part of the group Dumbledore
refers to when he mentions "the old crowd." He mentions names in his
instructions to Sirius in GoF as if, of course, Sirius would know who
he was talking about. Earlier in the book, Sirius mentions that
Dumbledore trusts Snape, but still seems unsure of Snape's role or
past actions. I read all this as evidence that Sirius knows who
the "old crowd" was because he was one of them, but Snape was not.
I think that at the time the "old crowd" was fighting against
Voldemort, Snape was either still a DE, or had come back to
Dumbledore's side and was working as a double agent. If he was a
double agent, his identity as such would have been kept as secret as
possible, so I doubt there would have been much of a chance for any
sort of interaction between Mrs. Figg and Snape during this period of
their lives.
