It seems to me that many people in the HP fanverse are longing for a "feisty" female character -- even those who think that the likes of Hermione, McGonagall, and Co. are "strong" enough. Evidence to this is the fact that almost all fanfiction writers portray Ginny as feisty -- despite she hardly has a personality at all yet in canon (aside from blushing alot).
I however, don't feel the need for a "feisty" female character.
No -- don't look at me like that, hear me out. First, to me, Hermione is feisty enough in her own way -- of course, Hermione is *all* things for me, but that's beside the point. The one thing we *don't* have is a VIOLENT female character.
Not one.
I mean, for violent boys, we've got...hrm. Voldemort, various DE's...Sirius *definitely* has a violent side, as does Ron...
...perhaps violent isn't the best word to describe it...I just want...Edge! That's what I want. A female character (preferably quite evil) with her own let-me-take-over-the-world-so-others-will-have-to-give-me-pedicures-with-their-teeth schmaz. Who care's about Voldemort? I mean, what a boring villain. He hasn't even got sex appeal (unless you go in for the scaly type).
So yeah, I want a woman that steals the scenes she's in..the way Dumbledore or Voldemort or Sirius do. And I don't particularly want her in a relationship with Snape -- unless, of course, that relationship involves him tied to a bed and gagged. ^_^
Feisty Shmiesty.
