Haven't you read Hogwarts: A History? ;) Snape couldn't have apparated to 
Hogwarts. You can't apparate or disapparate onto/off of Hogwarts grounds.

Still, he could have apparated somewhere else, I'm sure there are other safe 
spots besides Hogwarts that we have yet to learn of.
