Neville reminds me of a seed. He's round and small. Soon he's going to
sprout...
I agree completely with Darrin about the possibility that Neville will
turn out to be a very angry and vengeful young man. What interests me
most about Misguided!Neville is finding out who will get to do the
manipulating. McGonagall has stood aside and allowed Snape to climb
into Neville's head with a metaphorical crowbar for the past four
years-- don't tell me she doesn't know what's going on! What if they
(either or both) are banking on the fact that soon Neville will break
through the memory charms (or learn the whole story) and SNAP.
Sort of like a Manchurian Candidate in a very loose way. Or possibly
like the Emperor telling Luke Skywalker to give into his hate.
Frankie, who would like to sincerely apologize for the Star Wars
reference. It's ment only as a rough example, not a direct parallel.
