I thought it was pretty normal on the first read, too.

After all, Harry is the *only* one, who could resist it.

Nobody else even showed a glimpse of being able to fight it
at all.

I wanted to know how Hermione did with the Imperius curse,
but couldn't find any mention at all. Did I overlook it?
Was she not put under it?

And I wondered why JKR chose to have fake Moody say:
"The Imperius Curse can be fought, and I'll be teaching you
how, but it takes real strength of character, and not everyone's
got it."
It makes it sound as if most wizards and witches have "weak"
characters, because if many could fight it, the curse wouldn't be so
feared.

Have we heard of anyone besides Harry who can fight it?
Dumbledore? McGonnagal? Voldemort?
