       Hmm, indeed. I wonder...Crouch? If the Ministry confiscated the wand, 
Crouch Sr., have known where it was stashed. Then when LV and Wormtail show 
up at his door, they force him [while Imperio'd] to retrieve it from the 
Ministry equivalent of an evidence locker.
